Pay it forward. It’s Giving Tuesday.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday get a lot of attention, but the more impactful (and certainly more important) holiday happens today. It’s Giving Tuesday.

Giving Tuesday is a nationwide charitable initiative that promotes the true meaning of the holiday season. From education to adult services and every children’s organization in between, we ask you to open your hearts and your wallets and support a cause on this very special day.

About #GivingTuesday

We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting shopping deals. This year we have created GivingTuesday. A new day for giving back. On Tuesday December 3, 2013, global charities, families, businesses, community centers, students and more will come together to create GivingTuesday.

It’s a simple idea. Just find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to come together to give something more. Then tell everyone you can about how you are giving. Be a part of a national celebration of our great tradition of generosity.

Mission Statement

#GivingTuesday™ is a campaign to create a national day of giving at the start of the annual holiday season. It celebrates and encourages charitable activities that support nonprofit organizations. It is a way to come full circle this holiday season. We start with Thanksgiving – a day for giving thanks for everything that we are grateful for and a day to consume more turkey and pie than we had planned for.

The Circle of Giving.

The day after is Black Friday, a day for getting the best deals of the year on electronics, TVs and other big ticket items as well as getting a head start on our holiday gift list. Black Friday usually continues for two more days, followed by Cyber Monday –the day for online stores to provide us with the best retail therapy; more deals and delivered to our doors! Why not complete the cycle by giving back? Giving Tuesday is a day to think of others – as the name implies – to give back.

Today, become a part of the new tradition of giving. Give back. You’ll feel good and you’ll do good.
