Lonnie honorably served 8 years in the Army National Guard. He had a life rich with experiences including his passions for cars, real estate and sharing the love of Jesus. Throughout his lifetime Lonnie worked as a trucking company owner, diesel mechanic, car dealership owner and landlord.
During his car business years, Lonnie and Susan worked side by side from sun up until long past sundown. They loved to travel during this time and have told of many adventures along the way.
Lonnie loved the Lord and had a heart for telling others about the love of Jesus. During the years that Laura and Jennifer were at home, he ran a bus ministry that reached out to the children of a struggling community. He loved hearing God's Word and singing from his heart to the Lord. Some of his favorite vacations were his trips to the Tulsa Soul Winning Workshop.
Lonnie spent the last months of his life surrounded by Susan, his daughters and grandchildren. During these difficult days he purposed to find peace in trusting God for his healing. Numerous times during the day he would gather the family to pray. Lonnie verbalized recognizing God's plan for his good and was at peace in whatever that plan may be. Lonnie's knowledge of God's love, enabled him and his family to know true joy that could not be taken away, even on the most difficult of days.
Today we believe that Lonnie is more alive than ever in the sweet presence of Jesus. We look forward to the day that we will be reunited with him and see our Jesus face to face.
