RIP Walter Eagle Tail

On July 4, 2014 a 47 year old man died while participating in a hotdog eating contest.  A piece of hotdog became lodged in his throat and he suffocated.  Paramedics performed CPR but he died at the hospital.  This is not the first death caused by competitive eating.  The events have even been televised.

Eating is a necessary and pleasurable experience but should it be a sport?  Walter Eagle Tail will be missed by many.
