George Hamilton IV, we will miss you

Grand Ole Opry Legend George Hamilton IV passed away on Wednesday after suffering a heart attack, he was 77.  In 1956 his song "A Rose and A Baby Ruth" was a chart success.  He was inducted  into the Grand Ole Opry in 1960 and embraced folk music in the late 1960's.

In the 1970's he performed in the Soviet Union and was named the International Ambassador of County Music. 

Abilene remains one of my favorite George Hamilton songs.
