While no one wants to think about his or her final days, those final days are a fact of life. In considering how I would like to be remembered, I have come up with some great memories that would make it easier for my loved ones to let me go and have happy memories.
I have always
been passionate about helping others so the first thing I would like people to
remember is how much I cared about those in need in our community. I have made
great efforts to help others as much as possible. From homeless teens to those
in need of food I have given everything I could to help them get up and back on
their feet. I hope that someone will remember this and continue on for me in
this capacity. It doesn't take much and most of them are so grateful that
someone cares that they wind up following in my footsteps doing this very same
thing when they are older and on their own.
Another
thing I would like to be remembered for is my sense of humor. I love to laugh
and even in stressful situations I can usually find the silver lining in the
cloud. No matter how bad something is it could always be worse (just read
complaints on social networks and you can always find someone who is worse off
than you are). See, life isn't so bad; you can make do with what you have in
life and be happy and grateful. There is no need to be complaining when you see
how bad others have it.
Life is
short and should be cherished. Make time for your loved ones and take time out
of the day to enjoy a walk with the small children and the elderly in your
life. They will treasure the memories and so will you.
These are
some of the ways I want to be remembered in.
